The 2009 Cadillac XLR gets freshened exterior styling and a few new available features for its final model year. This two-seat convertible is based on the Chevrolet Corvette, but XLR has unique styling, a power-folding hardtop, and different powertrains. High-performance XLR-V versions have a supercharged 443-hp 4.4-liter V8. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard on both. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, and front side airbags. Platinum models get new 18-inch wheels. No 2009 Cadillac XLR models have been made available for Consumer Guide testing.
