Camry Collector Edition, what the hell? What Toyota sales dept exec thinks people collect Camrys?

This pulled up next to me at a stoplight, and it's the first time I'd ever heard of a collector edition car. That is one presumptuous car company!

Cars are collectable in a subjective way, IMHO, based on factors not up to the car maker, unless it's smart enough to produce incredible Italian sports cars.

The LE based Camry collectors edition was new for 2001 according to Wikicars.org

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

The new FJ Cruiser is based on the concept vehicle unveiled at Detroit's North American International Automobile Show in 2003.

Design features that hint at the FJ Cruiser's heritage are its front grille, which ties its two round, five-inch headlights together in much the same way the FJ40's headlights and grille were integrated; its hood and fender contours; and a rear-mounted and exposed full-size spare tire with an off-center license-plate-mounting location. Additionally, the FJ Cruiser employs a white roof cap and wrap-around rear side windows, which were FJ40 signatures. via carbodydesign

Toyota Yaris 1.5

Toyota Yaris 1.5, luxuri car, toyota
The Yaris’ rising belt-line and curvy body look more 21st century than. The frenched-in windshield and curvy slashes of light are very chic, while large wheel arches and chunky door handles present the illusion of tiny car.

The Yaris matches the Jazz in all measures, and betters it in some. The cushions are softer than the Jazz’s pews, and the front seats are mounted high inboard, giving you more knee and elbow room. The reclining rear seats also make for great headroom. While shuffling back and forth between the Jazz and the Yaris reminds you that there’s tons of space in the Jazz, the Yaris makes you more aware of it. In the “incredible cargo capacity” department, the Yaris rates as incredibly small. With the rear seats folded down, there’s more space still, but after seeing the Jazz’s Origamic-ULT- one-thousand-liter-cargo-bay trick for the thousandth time, the Yaris’s cargo flexibility comes off looking a little limp.

Toyota Hilux 3.0 G 4x4

Toyota Hilux 3.0 G 4x4, Toyota, Car
Pickup trucks have always possessed a sense of ballsy gravitas about them, the steed of choice of the modern-day Marlboro man if he ditched his horse. For some, it’s about that active lifestyle image that a real manly pickup truck suggests. In many ways, Toyota’s Hilux pickup would do the Marlboro man proud. Bigger than a Mitsubishi Strada. Suddenly, leviathans like Nissan Patrols and Ford Expeditions seem smaller.

Toyota avensis

Toyota avensis
Toyota has expanded its engine line-up for new Avensis, introducing two new units that further strengthen the fuel efficiency and emissions performance achieved across the range. As well as adding the 1.6 Valvematic petrol and 2.2 D-CAT 150 diesel, it has also made the popular 1.8 Valvematic engine more widely available, with both six-speed manual and Multidrive S transmissions.

Toyota avensis
Valvematic engine technology is one of the key elements of Toyota Optimal Drive . Based on Toyota's proven dual Variable Valve timing – intelligent (dual VVT-i) technology, it achieves a breakthrough in combustion efficency with a control system that continuously varies the lift of the inlet valves, giving better control of the volume and speed of the intake airflow. Simply put, this helps deliver more power for less fuel.
